Tree Project

We have a pretty small yard, and in that small yard the previous owners planted 15 trees in the back yard and some of the messiest/smelliest trees in the front yard. So, Jp and I rented a couple of chainsaws and with the help of some friends, cut down the trees that were not doing well, or that were unwanted.
Jp cutting down the bottom branches of the tree that was right in front of our front door. It was a tree that needed to go as it was extremely messy...the berries were constantly getting tracked into the house and the blossoms in the spring smelled awful!! With this tree gone, our lawn will hopefully start to change from moss to grass and actually look healthy.
Linus was kept inside for most of the time...much to his dismay. It was much safer having him out from under our feet.
The pile after all the trimming was done. On top of it was Scotty, Sarah and Ashley Harrison. They were a big help making that pile.

The stump of the tree from our front yard. It's amazing how much bigger our yard feels...not to mention how much bigger our house looks. I have to admit that I did feel slightly guilty cutting down the trees, but we are happy with the outcome.

Dinner with the Helquists and Harrisons after a couple hours of hard work. It was an eventful day at the Nielsen house.

Here is a video of some of the days activity.

I am impressed that you undertook to take down a big tree like that. What a project.
