November 2009

Fall Colors:

I couldn't help but try and capture the beauty of the fall leaves in our backyard...

Run to Feed the Hungry:

On Thanksgiving day Sacramento holds the biggest race in the country to raise money for the local food banks. This year my work sponsored a team to run in the race...Jp and I were lucky enough to be part of it.

Jp and I before the race

My friend Rouella, her husband Rick, and their family.

The Capital Allergy and Respiratory Disease team.

The finish line. It was estimated that over 30,000 people were present on Thanksgiving morning....my bib number was 31,000+. I walked the 5K with my friends/co-workers and Jp ran the 10K and met up with us in the end. It was an excellent was to start off the Thanksgiving holiday.

Thanksgiving Dinner with Friends:

Jp and I are in the truck heading over to the Harrison's for dinner. We had dessert at the Helquists and played games afterward. Jp made an ice-cream lemonade pie which was a hit...especially with the kids.

Michelle, Laura and myself in the Harrison's kitchen before dinner.

Mike and Mike entertaining the kids.

Me getting into the truck to head home. Look how big my baby belly is getting...I am pushing it out here, and there is a Thanksgiving feast in there as well...I am starting to look prego!

Dec the Halls:
After Thanksgiving, we went and bought a Christmas tree and started decorating that weekend.

Jp and Dan trimming the tree.

Our tree all lit up...colorful, pretty and mesmerizing.

I am just finishing up by putting garland around the Nativity Scene on top of the Indonesian chest. I was happy with the way our house looked for the holidays. It was very festive and put us in the holiday spirit.

Santa Linus. He is such a good sport.
Baby Update:

We got to hear the heartbeat at our last OB visit. That made it feel more real for both of us. I have some fibroids that are growing in there with the baby. That means that we will get to have more ultrasounds to make sure the baby is growing as the firboids would give inaccurate measurements. Still experiencing morning sickness and now carry Ziploc bags in the car at all time. More to come...

Wow, your house looked so festive. I loved how your tree looked with the ligths turned on. This was our first year with a real tree, I loved the way it smells. Santa Linus is a hoot!
