Good Times: September 2009

Afternoon on the Rubicon River:

We went with a bunch of friends on a hike through the mountains and through the Rubicon River to our destination where we ate luncy, watched the brave cliff jump and enjoyed the company of friends.

Part of the group: Lucy, Jude, Aaron, Avery, Sarah, Linus and Natalie. Here we are getting ready for the part of the hike where we boulder through the cold water. (Linus doesn't do water, so Jp and I took turns carrying him from boulder to boulder. Spoiled little dog...)

Loon Lake:

After cliff jumping; Jp Linus and I took off and started another adventure of backbacking into Loon Lake for the night.

OPur back-packing tent nestled in the trees. It was a perfect spot, shelter from the wind, and lots of privacy.

Jp is showing one of our camping luxuries...Jiffy Pop on the campfire. Nothing like a tasty treat in the wilderness.

Linus was exhausted after a day of hiking, trying not to get wet at the Rubicon and hiking again to our campsite. At one point it became too quiet and we looked all over for him. Linus was sitting right outside the tent wanted to get in and take a nap.
