January 2009

Studying for the NCLEX
I studied intensly for the NCLEX. Above is a picture of Linus snuggling in and getting bored while I was studying. I like how he is sitting...like a person hanging out on the sofa. Cute little dog...
I took the boards on Jan 22, 2009 and boarded a plane the following morning to visit Ryan, Emily and Sage, my brother and his cute family, and with my mom, sister and her new baby, whom I met during a layover en route to Philadelphia.

Visiting Ryan, Emily and Sage:

Ryan, Emily and their little girl Sage.

Mom holding Sage, Sharon holding Jackson- this is the first time Sage and Jackson have seen each other.

Sage is such a sweet little girl. She is full of smiles and wet kisses.

Here Emily is buying a Philly Cheese steak from a food cart. You can't be in Philly and not eat one of those.

The group of us. It was a windy cold day outside, but we didn't let it stop us from enjoying the scenery or each other.

Ryan and Emily at an old water pump.

Emily and I at the Liberty Bell.

Mom found shelter from the biting wind while waiting in line to tour Independence Hall.

Jackson back at Ry and Em's apartment after an busy day downtown. What a cute little guy... utterly tuckered out.

Me spending quality time reading to Jackson.

We celebrated Ryan's birthday while we were out there.

We went to Temple University and had a grand tour of a typical day for Ryan. Here he is showing us the "glasses" he uses in dental school. I forget the technical term for them.

Mom giving Sage loves and Sage enjoying time with Grandma Andersen.

Ryan and Sage showing us their balancing act.
It was so nice to spend quality time with family. I wish everyone was able to be there. I can't believe how fast the weekend flew by...I had a wonderful time.
