The Bannister
After endless sanding of the wood and a couple coats of stain and paint, the bannister is finally finished! I did all the wood staining, Jp and I did the first coat of white on the spindles and my friend Alison helped me put on the second coat. It turned out even better than I could have imagined. 
Even Linus put his mark on the project...notice the paint on his ear and side. He kept laying against the wet paint...which meant an additional coat in a couple of places. One of his favorite napping spots is on the landing where the stairs change directions.

hee, hee...linus! i remember every time i would talk to you, you were sanding the banister, it looks really, really professional and prefect in the house.
