Graduation Day

I thought that graduation day would never come. It was/is a great feeling to be finished with school. The Sacramento City College registered nursing program was difficult, but way worth the stress. I have a ton of clinical experience as a student nurse and met a lot of great people. The pinning ceremony was held on December 18, 2008.

Each graduate is "pinned" on stage. As you can see, Jp pinned me. The pin is unique to the school a nurse graduates from. A lot of nurses put them on their name tags when they get a job...

Jp and I outside after the ceremony. Notice the flowers he gave me. He surprised me with them when he walked into the auditorium. When we got back to the jeep, he had another graduation surprise...a new digital SLR camera. Very thoughtful and well planned...I was impressed! Jp reallly went out of his way to make this a special day.

Mike, Alison and their new baby girl, Sylvia, came to support me on this great occasion too. It was thier first time big venture out with her. I was/am grateful for their support. It was nice to have them there.
