The California International Marathon 2008

On December 7th 2008, JP ran his first full marathon. He finished the 26.2 mile race in 4 hours 46 minutes and 25 seconds. I drove to various spots along the route to cheer him on. He was easy to spot in the crowd because of his height, big smile and green sleeves. It is a big accomplishment and one to definitely be remembered.

Jp at the starting line... it was a cold, damp morning!!

Here we are together at the California State Capitol, The finish line of the CIM.

Jp after the race. Notice the thermal wrap and huge medal around his neck? He said that he was trying to smile in this picture, but was almost too tired to hold it long enough for the camera.

Now for the trek back to the car...
Awsome job JP!!!
